Samuel Doria Medina will not attend Political Summit called by Evo Morales

POLITICAL SUMMIT • Samuel Doria Medina, head of National Unity political party rejected his participation in the Political Summit of political parties because its uselessness. President Evo Morales called opposition parties to hear their proposals on how to improve the national economy and social programs for the country.

LA PAZ, Bolivia .— Doria Medina said that the Social Summit held in recent days has not presented its conclusions yet.

He said in RTP (Popular Radio and Television broadcasting station):

"... Once [Social Summit] has conclusions he can start talking about a new Summit ... ".

Doria Medina questioned the Social Summit saying the only proposal was to increase the cultivation of coca leaves.

"You will remember the Social Summit as where they wanted to increase from 12,000 to 20,000 hectares of coca."

Juan Evo Morales Ayma called on political parties to listen their proposals that seek to improve the national economy and social programs in the country.
