LA PAZ, Bolivia .— Mayta added that for relatives of victims of October 2003 are outrageous that after more than two years that the extradition request presented officially to USA, has not been achieved even a government pronouncement on the issue .

Mayta told Erbol broadcasting Network:

"We sent a letter to the Bolivian Chancellor where we express that we want to reconsider a legal and political strategy targeted to achieve the extradition of Sanchez de Lozada and Sánchez Berzaín from USA "

"The Bolivian diplomacy did not have the ability to extract even an official statement of the U.S. government. We want to know, although even say that Sanchez de Lozada and Sánchez Berzaín will not be extradited, but Bolivian government must say something, "

The charge d'affaires of the Embassy of Bolivia in Washington, Erika Dueñas, reported in November 2008 that the Government of Evo Morales officially asked the United States the extradition of Gonzalo Sanchez de Lozada, former president of Bolivia, Jose Carlos Sanchez Berzain, former head of the Defense Ministry, and Jorge Berindoague Alcócer, Hydrocarbons Secretary, who are accused of genocide.

These three fled Bolivia during the riots of October 2003 and has since been lived in the United States.
