Cristina Kirchner and Evo Morales inaugurated pipeline to carry up to 11 million cubic meters of natural gas per day

ENERGY INTEGRATION • The president of Argentina, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, along with Bolivia's President Evo Morales, inaugurated today Juana Azurduy pipeline, through which feeds the two countries' cooperation in energy matters.

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina .— Kirchner and Morales spoke of integration, cooperation and coordination of actions to strengthen American ties.

Evo Morales said:

"Bolivian can become the center of South America with this source and with the pipeline Bolivia will deliver gas to Argentina according to the contracts signed…. "
Then came the turn of Cristina Kirchne, and she said:
" There are provinces that do not have today the access to heating in their homes, and this is a step forward in that issue…"
The pipeline, whose construction began in December, last year, will carry 7.7 million and 11 million cubic meters per day of natural gas. In the Bolivian side it has 13 miles long and 32 inches in diameter and extends from Camp Margarita in the southern department of Tarija to Madrejones, bordering the neighbouring country.

In Argentina it has 35 kilometers from Campo Duran Refinor up and join the gas pipeline in Northeastern Argentina.
