LA PAZ, Bolivia. — The former governor and current candidate for governor of Santa Cruz department, Ruben Costas, criticized several former allies of the defunct National Democracy Council (CONALDE) and brought out the differences he had with the former prefect of Pando, Leopoldo Fernandez, of Cochabamba, Manfred Reyes Villa, and La Paz, Jose Luis Paredes.
When interviewed, he said:
“I had many differences with Leopold, Manfred and I never believed in him and Pepelucho Paredes seemed to me repugnant.”During his speech, the former prefect also reiterated his intention to approach the central government, noting that " Enough of confrontation" with the government.
"We should work collectively. There must be a meeting with the government. We can not continue in this struggle of Tom and Jerry."
