LA PAZ, Bolivia.- The businessman and former Santa Cruz civic leader Branko Marinkovic, was formally charged yesterday for crimes of terrorism and armed insurrection by the group of prosecutors investigating the case of terrorism raised in Santa Cruz on 16 April 2009.

The prosecutor Marcelo Soza said the decision will be communicated through an edict. Soza criticized the fact that Marinkovic is "mockery of justice" by failing to testify before the prosecution on the occasions that summoned him.

“The last report we have is that Branko Gora Marinkovic Jovicevic is in Bolivia as it shows a last photograph of him”.

Marinkovic was called first to testify in the terrorism case on 4 September 2009, through a prosecution requirement. He did not attend.

The civic leader was involved in terrorism case because he would have given $ 200,000 to a secessionist and terrorist group led by Eduardo Rózsa, which was disrupted on April 16 of 2009 at the Las Americas Hotel in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia.
