The fourth Social Forum brings together leaders and representatives of more than 500 organizations advocating for social groups in Paraguay and 17 other countries in the region.
The Forum advocates for peasant, indigenous, feminist, labor and environmentalists demands and against discrimination of all kinds.
The main activity will be held on Saturday announcing the presence of the presidents of Paraguay and Bolivia, Fernando Lugo and Juan Evo Morales Ayma, respectively.
They will give a speech on "Sovereignty and Integration: Our America is underway."
The forum is funded by the entrances to the Itaipu hydroelectric plant.
The entire program will be held in the facilities of the National Sports Council and the Higher Institute of Education (ISE) where delegations also be housed.
