SUCRE, Bolivia . — Valle is accused of embezzling approximately $ 17.7 million during his administration in La Paz, between August 1997 and May 2000. In addition he is also accused of selling vehicles in good condition as scrap, buying a luxurious bedroom set that was lost and sell real estate of Banco Minero in cheap prices.
The morning of September 1, Valle was expelled to La Paz, Bolivia from Peru where he was captured by the International Police on Friday 20 August.
After spending 13 days in prison in La Paz, Valle was transferred yesterday from the Panopticon to the International Airport of El Alto, where he was embarked on a commercial flight to Sucre, Bolivia.
Around 10.40, guarded by two police guards, stepped off the plane at the Juana Azurduy de Padilla airport to be transferred to the prison of San Roque in Sucre, Bolivia.
