There are no resources to operate dairy plant that government built in Achacachi

NO MONEY • The Minister of Production, Antonia Rodriguez, acknowledged yesterday that lack of financial resources and technical foresight the government cannot open dairy plants built in Achacachi with Iranian investment.

ACHACACHI, Bolivia.— Rodriguez said they are making efforts to have the resources, which were not foreseen by the technicians. The authority did not disclose the amount that is required for dairy plant to start operations.

"The dairy plants of Achacachi and Challapata almost are ready, (...) we are in search of economic resources to begin the operations.”
The Minister indicated that the case is being addressed by the Department of Public Enterprise Development Production (Sedem).
"Should be provided, but for some reason we lack the needed money. In that quest we are and through Sedem will be solved. "
On 30 August, the Iranian Minister of Industries and Mines Ali Akbar Mehravian announced that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad ordered disburse of 200 million euros according to the priorities and projects suggested by the country like the expansion of milk plants and textile mills.
