Bolivian state oil Co. (YPFB) will carry Liquefied Natural Gas to 25 villages in the country

DOMESTIC GAS NETWORKS • A total of 147,097 homes in 25 villages of the country will benefit from implementing Virtual Distribution System of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), according to the National Manager of Pipeline Networks of YPFB, Oscar López.

LA PAZ, Bolivia.— According to official report, the engineering of the project will require an investment of 115 million dollars. Already it has been approved by the project committee of YPFB.

Lopez said:

"We have approved the proposed LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) for towns where pipelines are not impossible but expensive. It will be carried by tank trucks. The project is guaranteed."
According to Lopez, the transportation of LNG on trucks tanks will be loaded in a liquefaction plant with the capacity of 200 Metric Tons. / day of Liquefied Natural Gas, to provide locations where the LNG will be regasificated and later distribute through domestic networks.

Lopez added:

"Concurrently with the execution of this project, domestic gas networks will be installed in the towns."
The project will benefit towns like Desaguadero, Copacabana, Achacachi, Coroico, Guanay, Caranavi, Llallagua, Uyuni, Tupiza, Villazón, Huanuni, Challapata, San Ignacio de Velasco, Guarayos Ascension, San Julian, San Jose de Chiquitos, Roboré, Trinidad, San Ignacio de Moxos, San Borja, Rurrenabaque, Guayaramerín, Santa Ana de Yacuma, Riberalta and Cobija.
