Colombian medical experts identify Mono Jojoy's corpse

TERRORISM • Colombian Defense Minister Rodrigo Rivera said on Friday that medical experts had identified the corpse of "Mono Jojoy," military chief of the rebel Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), killed during a raid.

BOGOTA, Colombia. — Rivera said that the raid carried out when Mono Jojoy was killed was a "precise" operation.

"We not only have the morphological confirmation of this criminal, but also Mono Jojoy's fingerprints confirm that this is the person we were looking for."
He said that Mono Jojoy
"was dressed with pixeled uniform, and this point attracted the attention of our commanders on Thursday. According to our men, that uniform was the newest style used by our own military forces."

On Thursday, the Colombian military forces announced the death of Mono Jojoy during a raid carried out in the south of the country on Wednesday, however it was till Thursday morning when they found his corpse.

Then, Mono Jojoy's corpse was taken to Bogota on Thursday where it was examined by experts from the Legal Medicine Institute to determine the specific cause of his death.
