Evo Morales arrives Finland invited by his Finnish counterpart Tarja Halonen

OFFICIAL VISIT • The president of Bolivia, Evo Morales, landed today at the Helsinki airport from Norway for a two-day official visit to Finland, the last stop of his European tour, invited by the president of the country, Tarja Halonen.

HELSINKI, Finland.— According to the official agenda in the afternoon Morales will visit the Finland Trade Center where he will meet with businessmen of Finland.

After that he will play a soccer game organized by the Embassy of Bolivia in Finland. Then at the ending of the day President Morales will attend a dinner hosted by the President of Finland at his official residence in Mäntyniemi.

On Saturday, the Bolivian president will begin the day with a meeting with Finnish Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen, before heading to the presidential palace, where you will be greeted by President Halonen. Morales will address various topics and give the conclusions of the World Peoples' Conference on Climate Change and the Rights of Mother Earth, held in the Bolivian town Tiquipaya on 22 April.

The Bolivian leader will conclude his visit to Finland at the University of Helsinki, where he will deliver a speech on the need for a new development model to replace capitalism to combat climate change.
