Spain supports the Bolivian government's proposal to decriminalize chewing coca leaves

DECRIMINALIZATION OF CHEWING COCA LEAVES • The Chancellor of Bolivia, David Choquehuanca, in the meeting with his homonym of Spain, Trinidad Jimenez, at Viana Palace of Madrid, was supported by the Spanish State for the decriminalization of coca leaf.

MADRID, Spain .— According to a press release, the Spanish government will help Bolivia to be able to reach an agreement at the United Nations Organization (UN) to allow decriminalize the practice of chewing coca leaves in Andean countries.

The Spanish Chancellor, Trinidad Jimenez confirmed that :

"Spain does not interpose any objection to the Bolivian proposal and will continue to pursue the spirit of consensus which has always maintained.”
Jimenez, communicated this commitment to Bolivian Chancellor David Choquehuanca, the meeting of two was held at Viana Palace of Madrid.
