LA PAZ, Bolivia .— President Evo Morales invited the senator of the opposition National Convergence, Roger Pinto, to present evidence against the secretary of Government, Sacha Llorenti, who presumably appointed former general René Sanabria as head of Central Intelligence and Information Generation (Cegein) now prosecuted for drug offenses in U.S. courts.
The president, in a press conference at Palacio Quemado, called to the senator of Pando Roger Pinto to initiate proceedings against Sacha Llorenti, but warned that if the accusation is false he must be brought to justice:
"We heard in the media ... charging but if he has no evidence he will be himself in court."The head of state added that if Senator R. Pinto has evidence he can initiate criminal proceedings.
